Alla vista colpiscono purezza e trasparenza assolute.
All’olfatto, la prima percezione è il profumo intenso di ginepro e agrumi.
All’assaggio si percepisce la nota di Té data dall’infusione delle foglie di Camellia Sinensis. L’insieme è giustamente dry come vuole la pura tradizione, con il tocco piacevolmente aromatico dato dagli agrumi e dal Té.

I due ingredienti caratterizzanti hanno la loro origine nel territorio del Lago Maggiore.
Il tocco agrumato è dato dai limoni e dalle arance raccolti a mano in un agrumeto storico a Cannero Riviera, sulla sponda piemontese del Lago, quasi al confine con la Svizzera.
La Camellia Sinensis, da cui si ottengono le foglie del Té viene coltivata sulle colline affaciate sul Lago nella più grande coltivazione europea di questa pianta.
Completano il quadro degli ingredienti le bacche di ginepro delle Alpi.

Secondo la ricetta esclusiva di Major Company il primo passaggio è l’infusione delle bacche di ginepro delle Alpi, delle foglie di Camellia Sinensis e delle scorze di limone e arancia da cui si ottiene un infuso alcolico che viene poi distillato. Il distillato che si ottiene è estremamente concentrato, viene quindi miscelato con ulteriore alcool da cereali e acqua di sorgente per creare Major Dry Gin.

La vista è conquistata dal colore ambrato, che racconta di legno, di profumi, di mesi e mesi di affinamento nel buio della botte. L’olfatto percepisce immediatamente il sentore intenso dei distillati invecchiati in barrique: suggestioni di cognac, di armagnac, poi emerge forte il ginepro che ti fa capire di essere nel mondo del Gin.
All’assaggio si percepisce la nota di ciliegia, che è il risultato di un doppio fattore: le ciliegie usate nella distillazione di Major Gin, e la botte in legno di ciliegio in cui invecchia il Major Gin Riserva.

Armonia di ciliegie e ciliegio
Le ciliegie piemontesi usate nell’infusione del distillato, e il ciliegio della barrique in cui si affina per 6 mesi: è da questa armonia fruttata che nasce Major Gin Riserva.
Il risultato si percepisce nei profumi intensamente aromatici, rari e inusuali in un distillato invecchiato.

Taste Gin 43 has a delicate herbaceous but persistent and citrusy flavor; sweetness given by the mixture of Dill, Fennel, Liquorice & Anise. A note of bitterness is given by the maceration of the Imperatoria, Gentian, Aromatic Calamo, Wormwood and the essential Juniper. A final note is from Angelica seeds and roots; to leave at the end a fresh taste from the mix between Thyme, Melissa, Sage and Mint.

Aftertaste Gin 43 releases a persistent bitter aftertaste given by the strength of the wormwood, Imperatoria and Juniper.

Smell: Notes emphasize of Juniper, a scent of violet from Iris, Light lavender and citrus, herbaceous characterized by the combination between Coriander and Angelica, ending with a fresh mint scent.
