Bokma Oude Friesche Graangenever ist ein Genever aus der niederländischen Provinz Friesland. Kreiert wurde dieses Traditionsprodukt bereits im Jahr 1826 in Leeuwarden. Bei einem Oude Genever handelt es sich nicht etwa um einen gereiften Genever, wie es der Name vermuten lässt; vielmehr verkörpert der Oude Genever den traditionellen Destillationsstil. Beispielsweise enthält Oude Genever einen Anteil von mindestens 15 % Malzwein und häufig auch mehr Botanicals als Jonge Genever.

Malzwein wird aus einer Mischung von Weizen, Roggen, Mais und Gerste gewonnen und ist wesentlich für das Geschmacksprofil dieser Spezialität verantwortlich. Bei Bokma werden neben Wacholderbeeren außerdem Echte Engelswurz, Süßholz, Sternanis, Gewürznelken und Dill herangezogen. Der Oude Friesche Graangenever von Bokma ist insgesamt wunderbar geschmeidig ausgewogen, ohne dabei an Aromatik und Geschmack zu verlieren.

Bokma Jonge Graangenever kommt mit dem typischen Duft nach Wacholder gepaart mit Lakritze und Karamell daher. Besonders der Wacholder ist auch auf der Zunge dominant. Dabei ist er vergleichsweise mild mit einer doch deutlichen Kornnote. Im Abgang zeigt sich eine dezente Süße.

Der Black Tomato Gin kommt aus einem kleinen Fischerdorf namens Bruinisse. Der Gin wird aus schwarzen Tomaten hergestellt und ist zu 100% vegetarisch. Das Wasser, das für die Herstellung verwendet wird, stammt aus dem größten Nationalpark in Hollands Oosterschelde. Die verwendeten Tomaten stammen aus Italien bzw. Sizilien. Sie werden von Hand gepflückt und zerdrückt bevor sie mazeriert werden. Beim Black Tomato wird der Wacholder bewusst in den Hintergrund gedrängt und die Tomate hervorzuheben.

Hanami Dry Gin

Dutch Courage dry gin is distilled from Nine botanicals: juniper berries and iris root from Italy, coriander from Morocco, angelica, sweet oranges and fresh whole lemons from Spain, liquorice root from India, cardamom and whole vanilla beans from Madagascar.

The gin is distilled using a unique distillation method with separate distillation of each botanical so producing a fresh, complex and layered flavour from a total of 14 distillations.

Tasting notes:
The nose is clean with fresh citrus and earthy juniper notes and a beguiling hint of spice and vanilla. The balance of Zuidam Dry Gin makes it perfect for a refreshing Gin and Tonic or a perfect Dry Martini.
