The contents of this noble gin have been selected very carefully. The intention is to integrate the regions along the Rhine with their wonderful local and natural products in the gin. The result is a gin that representatively integrates natural products from all regions. The production also takes place according to the specifications for the quality label London Dry Gin.
The result is a gin with character, but it does not reveal its personality and remains a gin. The juniper note is classic with a nice freshness and delicate herbal and citrus notes. It tastes soft with a beautiful complexity and reveals great harmony in the integration of the botanicals thanks to great craftsmanship.
It is best to serve the gin in a large glass, which can also be a wine glass, or in a very classic long drink glass. The gin can be drunk pure or mixed. For the latter, we prefer a dry tonic or our new discovery: Jamaican ting.
BOTANICALS
• Water from the source of the Rhine at Lake Tomasee in Graubünden in Switzerland
• Juniper as a base and mountain herbs based on a secret combination from Graubünden in Switzerland
• A small batch of cherries from the Basel area in Switzerland
• Elder flowers from Alsace in France
• Riesling from the wonderful Rheingau in Germany
• Sea salt, explicitly selected from the Rotterdam region in Holland
• The gin has also been refined with a little lemon and lemongrass
PRODUCTION
The gin is produced by the Käser family from Käsers Schloss in Elfingen in the canton of Aargau, which is also located on the Rhine. Small batches are distilled in the still. Every step is manual work; the Käser family monitors the process meticulously. After the distillation, the Käser family allows the gin to rest. The filling is then also done by hand and in batches of 500 bottles each.
