The inspiration to make your own gin came from my own barn. It is not uncommon for a thick layer of hay flowers to lie on the floor. In the country hay flowers are all parts of the plant that are not caught by the pitchfork.
The vision was to create a gin that embodies the spirit of your own barn and the character and joie de vivre of a lush cottage garden. Driven by the pure desire for an honest and simple product, this gin was developed. The task: the gin should be fine and down-to-earth. It should be a gin made from the biodiversity of a meadow and the blossoms of an elder tree. The selected botanicals are each individually soaked in alcohol for several days so that the mostly very fine aromas can fully develop. Gradually, they are distilled and stored again for several weeks. Only then are the different distillates combined. The gin is married to the cold, clear spring water from the region. The Züri Gin is deliberately distilled very slowly and in small passages to allow the aromas to develop.
The region also gave its name to the ZH Züri Gin. The name fits best.
