Distilled in copper-pot stills, Empress 1908 Gin contains eight signature botanicals, including exotic butterfly pea blossom, discovered in a tea blend served at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, B.C. These blossoms impart a warm herbal earthiness, soft texture, and deep indigo colour.

Tasting Notes:
Lime, honeydew melon and green grape distillates, added to romeo's gin and its aromas of juniper, cucumber, lavender, dill, lemon and almond, make romeo's gin V a surprisingly fresh gin. A taste loaded with citrus, with fruity and racy notes, transcending the vegetal signature character of romeo's gin.

Romeo's Gin V

This gin has a juniper-driven nose, with lemon zest, citrus and floral notes. Very complex. It has a round mouthfeel, with a pleasant warming spiciness, with anise and white pepper. This gin helped Steinhart be accepted into the London Gin Guild; a rare honour for a North American distiller. It is a great gin for a classic Gin and Tonic enthusiast. The special edition blue bottle is definitely a keeper!

Nose: Lemon, honeysuckle, juniper, rosewater, lavender, jasmine, sandalwood, grass, herbs, spice cake, spices, clove, cinnamon, stone, pine.
Palate: Lemon, lime, orange, marmalade, ginger cake, red apple, blossoms, violet, herbal, dried flowers, lemongrass, grassy, juniper, anise, pepper, white pepper, spicy, pine.
