Pinang Raci literally translates as a mishmash of spices. Grandfather Jacobus 'Bobby' Alfons, the inspiration and namesake of Bobby's Gin, was well known for skilfully infusing Dutch jenever with spices that reminded him of home: Naku on the island of Ambon. As a result, he created and spiced up his own jenever!
Infusing jenever with spices, creating his own Pinang Raci, was a daily routine for Grandfather Bobby. Fueled by intuition and a genuine love of flavour, Bobby infused his favourite spirit with traditional spices. This recipe is the core and foundation of what we currently know as Bobby's Schiedam Dry Gin.

A note by master distiller Ad van der Lee: “As the special edition is a celebration of the 5yr collaboration between the grandsons and the distillery I chose for a base of a Notaris maltspirit genever batch 2014, the birth-year of Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin.
 
For the Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin I looked into two aspects to give an extra dimension of complexity to the liquid. First I decided to use a double oaked finish on special treated virgin bourbon barrels. I selected special virgin American oak barrels, milled with grooves on the inside to increase the contact surface of the liquid. This results in more intense vanilla notes. Second I selected the optimum strength of alcohol to get the most result on the finished character.
 
For me, the result is a good resemblance for the collaboration I had with the Bobby’s grandsons over the past five years.”

Der Black Tomato Gin kommt aus einem kleinen Fischerdorf namens Bruinisse. Der Gin wird aus schwarzen Tomaten hergestellt und ist zu 100% vegetarisch. Das Wasser, das für die Herstellung verwendet wird, stammt aus dem größten Nationalpark in Hollands Oosterschelde. Die verwendeten Tomaten stammen aus Italien bzw. Sizilien. Sie werden von Hand gepflückt und zerdrückt bevor sie mazeriert werden. Beim Black Tomato wird der Wacholder bewusst in den Hintergrund gedrängt und die Tomate hervorzuheben.

Hanami Dry Gin

Dutch Courage dry gin is distilled from Nine botanicals: juniper berries and iris root from Italy, coriander from Morocco, angelica, sweet oranges and fresh whole lemons from Spain, liquorice root from India, cardamom and whole vanilla beans from Madagascar.

The gin is distilled using a unique distillation method with separate distillation of each botanical so producing a fresh, complex and layered flavour from a total of 14 distillations.

Tasting notes:
The nose is clean with fresh citrus and earthy juniper notes and a beguiling hint of spice and vanilla. The balance of Zuidam Dry Gin makes it perfect for a refreshing Gin and Tonic or a perfect Dry Martini.
