G'Vine emerged from a collaboration between the distiller Jean-Sébastien Robicquet and the oenologist Bruno de Reilhac. The two French pursued the idea of combining modern gin culture with French wine tradition in one product. The basis for G'Vine is therefore a grape brandy made from the Ugni Blanc grape variety.
This brandy is distilled in small batches and is then used to macerate juniper, nutmeg, ginger, liquorice, lemon, coriander and cassia.
Another specialty is the use of the green wine blossom, from which an own distillate is made, which gives the gins their typical floral note. Only once a year, in the middle of June, the vines bloom for a few days before the grapes emerge. In France this period is called "floraison".
Smell: Delicate, sweet and floral, with a sharp warmth (hints of cardamom and ginger).
Taste: Soft, fine and round, like meadow with flowers and spices. The floral taste of the grapevine is very prominent. Juniper, cardamom and ginger follow. The finish brings back the flowery taste and is very long and dry, clear and crisp.
