KUNSTWERK OLD TOM GIN
After the distillation process, the KUNSTWERK London Dry Gin with its strong character was refined with sugar. It has a lovely, full-bodied and round but not too sweet taste. The result is KUNSTWERK OLD TOM GIN In the 18th century, gin production in England was massively restricted, so that gin was served secretly in pubs, bars and taverns. Wooden signs in the shape of an old black tomcat adorned doors and facades as a concealed sign of recognition. Through the wooden sign, passing customers could enjoy sugared gin to go through a hose. The name Old Tom Gin was born, derived from "old tomcat", an old tomcat.
