It matures in extremely rare, intensely fragrant mulberry wooden barrels, which provide a wide range of aromas of the distillate.
These traditional, hand-made first-fill barrels, which are slightly toasted in the southwest of Germany before being filled, are then stored in a granary from 1840 under constant climatic conditions.
