In Japan, the seasons are celebrated through seasonal festivals and the Roku was born from Shun, the Japanese understanding of celebrating the best moments of each season - in people, life and the richness of nature. Roku Seasonal Festival Collection introduces four of these festivals - a collection that showcases a Roku for each season.
The first edition of the collection is the Sakura Bloom Edition. Inspired by one of Japan's most famous nature-centered festivals and one of Roku's key ingredients, Sakura, the Hanami Edition celebrates the festivities of literally "looking at the blossoms" of cherry trees. The freshness and splendor of the spring season and Hanami festival with a smooth, elegant taste enhanced by a hint of saltiness from the petals. Enhanced by a harmonious blend of botanicals, the natural sweetness of the gin shines, resulting in a delicate yet complex Roku Gin in full bloom.
The limited edition bottle retains the shape of the standard variant with six sides and embossed botanicals on the glass representing the six Japanese botanicals harvested at the height of their season to create Roku, while the washi paper label has been specially designed by Japan's most renowned washi paper artist, Horiki Eriko, with touches of pink and metallic tones representing the falling sakura petals.
The packaging was designed by Japanese artist Ohgushi, known for his contemporary brush and ink technique, bringing the Hanami festival to life through the beauty of the sakuras and the onlookers admiring them.
