Six Dogs Blue Gin derives its name from the Blue Pea Flower (Clitoria Ternatea), an antioxidant and aphrodisiac in traditional medicine. The infusion of Blue Pea gives the Gin its striking colour, while the alchemy of this unusual botanical is further revealed when the Gin is mixed with a good tonic, changing the colour to light pink. Six Dogs Blue is a classic dry Gin with hints of freshly-cut Lucerne over hand-picked and morning-harvested Rose Pelargonium. Six Dogs Blue is a party Gin that offers a touch of magic – beautiful by itself and when mixed with tonic, it can also be enjoyed with a variety of garnishes from berries in season to herbs and spices to rose petals. Pinotage Stained, the love child of Six Dogs gin and our neighbour’s handpicked pinotage grapes, embodies the freshness of a classic dry gin that is enhanced with the infusion of a uniquely South African cultivar. Sip it and you’ll taste notes of black cherry, plum and blackcurrant, with some tannin for structure and complexity. Each year’s harvest of grapes may bring subtle variants in taste and colour, however the juniper-forward flavour is consistent with each batch.

Fun fact: Look closely at the box and you’ll notice the subtle outline of the African continent, alluding to the uniquely South African cultivar.

Perfect serve: Enjoy it neat over ice or dilute with a splash of good tonic to create a fusion of terroir, cultivar and fine gin. If you enjoy adding garnish, we recommend frozen red grapes or a slice of fresh citrus. Pinotage also pairs well with an artisanal cheese board.

Six Dogs Karoo Gin is a delicate and balanced Gin of twelve select botanicals, distilled and bottled by us at Six Dogs Distillery. Its distinguishing botanicals are grown by us on our farm, which intersects three different bioregions including the Succulent Karoo. It is from here that we gather the Karoo Thorn flower and Wild Lavender that make our Gin unique amongst all the Gins in the world. Sip it and you will pick up the paired notes of Juniper and Wild Lavender that introduce the Karoo. What follows is a fresh medley of citrus including Limes, Mandarins and farm-grown Lemon Buchu. Six Dogs Karoo is best enjoyed as is, over ice and with a good tonic. It needs no garnish!

Six Dogs Honey & Lime Gin ist das Ergebnis eines Nachhaltigkeitsprojekts, das begann, als das südafrikanische Bienenschutzunternehmen Bee Smiths an die Six Dogs Distillery herantrat, um gerettete Bienen auf die Farm umzusiedeln, auf der sich unsere Destillerie befindet. Die Farm erwies sich als idealer Standort für die Bienen.

Aus den Experimenten mit dem von den Bienen produzierten Honig entstand ein unwiderstehlicher Gin, der die Schärfe der auf der Farm angebauten Limetten mit der kontrastierenden, subtilen Süße des Honigs und feinstem botanischen Alkohol kombiniert.

Der Six Dogs Blue Light Gin wurde von gesundheitsbewussten Trinkern und nüchternen Wissbegierigen inspiriert und bietet dem anspruchsvollen Trinker den vollen Geschmack bei nur etwas mehr als der Hälfte des Alkoholgehalts.

Als erste botanische Spirituose ihrer Kategorie wurde diese wahrhaft leichte Spirituose mit genau der richtigen Alkoholmenge hergestellt, um das knackige Mundgefühl einer vollwertigen Spirituose beizubehalten und gleichzeitig die Aromen von Wacholder, Rosenpelargonien und blauen Erbsen in exquisite neue Höhen zu heben.

Die auffällige Farbe dieser Spirituose ist das Ergebnis des Aufgusses der blauen Erbsenblüte, die für die Farbveränderung verantwortlich ist, die bei Zugabe von Tonic auftritt.

Der Classic Knysna Gin aus Südafrika hat als Hauptbotanical die südafrikanische Num Num Berry, welche ein einzigartiges und unvergleichliches Geschmackserlebnis bietet. Die Num Num Berry ist eine einheimische süß schmeckende rote Frucht und eine Hommage an die Stadt Knysna. Der Classic Knysna Gin ist würzig und hat eine leichte Süße und Fruchtigkeit.&nbsp;
Klar wahrnehmbar sind Sternanis und natürlich Wacholder. Auch Kardamom, Koriander sowie Mondia Whitei geben ihm die Würze, während Honigbusch, Mandeln, Zimt die süßlichen Noten abrunden. Alle Zutaten begleiten das Wacholderaroma, ohne jedoch den Geschmack zu dominieren. Der Classic Knysna Gin hat einzigartige Aromen und versteht es die Würze und Süße perfekt zu balancieren.
 
Der Gin wird von Hand destilliert, in einer mit Feuer beheizten Alembic Destille mit Kupferbrennkessel. Das feine Aroma stellt die angewendete Dampfextraktion bzw. „vapour infusion“ sicher. Der Knysna Gin wird 12h destilliert bevor er seine 30 tägige Ruhezeit antritt. Das Ergebnis ist ein reiner, milder Gin.

Quadruple distilled from the finest white grape spirits in small batches. Extensive fractional distillation produces a smooth base of the finest quality and purity. This pure spirit is then infused with premium juniper berries and elements from 33 indigenous botanicals, sustainably hand harvested for their bark, roots, berries, flowers, stems, peels or leaves. Most of these botanicals are members of the fynbos group of plants for which the region is world famous.
These botanicals are macerated in the alcoholic base prior distillation to allow for optimal binding of the herbal aromas. Vapour-path extraction of flavours are then achieved by suspending the botanicals from the top of the kettle in a muslin bag.
A stepwise bending of pure Franschhoek granite mountain spring water results in a truly unique gin of the highest quality.
Deep and complex herbal aromas with hints of orange essence, cloves and white pepper, honey and wild Fynbos all overlaying a perfectly smooth palate make this into a gin to treasure.

Extremely well balanced and complex taste leading to a classy palate with a lingering finish that emphasises the underlying quality of the distelled spirit. On tasting, you discover the juniper berries in the front, the spice magic of coriander, aniseed and cardamom in the middle, and a soft, cooling and sweetish finish from the honeybush, rooibos, almond, lemon and Kalahari truffles.

Cruxland Gin

An African craft gin from Procera, distilled in Nairobi with 10 botanicals, all sourced from across Africa, including Madagascan pink pepper and Moroccan orris root. However, the most important botanical here is a relatively unseen species of juniper, Juniper Procera (most gins use Juniper Communis), also known as African juniper as it only grows in the highlands of Kenya and Ethiopia. This different variety gives the gin a nuttier, earthier backbone. After distillation, the gin is bottled into stunning hand-blown bottles, also produced in Nairobi. A truly unique gin.
