In our distillery located in Provence in the south of France, we only work with local plants. 
For our Gin we distil in our copper still the wild juniper berries coming from our department with 6 other emblematic plants of our region such as thyme or rosemary. 
During the tasting, our Gin is very powerful in juniper with herbaceous notes of Provençal herbs.

Bouquet: Der CITADELLE Gin, ein London Dry Gin, hat ein feines, delikates und duftendes Bouquet nach Zitrus und frischen Blumen.
Gaumen: Er ist elegant, voll und geschmeidig, außerordentlich aromatisch, mit einem komplexen Gaumen von Wacholder und Kräutern. Dazu präsentiert er sich mit einem frischen aromatischen Abgang.

G'Vine entstand aus einer Kooperation des Destillateurs Jean-Sébastien Robicquet mit dem Önologen Bruno de Reilhac. Die beiden Franzosen verfolgten die Idee, die moderne Ginkultur mit der französischen Weintradition in einem Produkt zu verbinden. Grundlage für G'Vine ist daher ein Traubenbrand aus der Rebsorte Ugni Blanc.
 
Dieser Brand wird in kleinen Batches destilliert und dient anschließend zur Mazeration von Wacholder, Muskatnuss, Ingwer, Süßholz, Zitrone, Koriander und Cassia.
Eine Besonderheit ist außerdem die Verwendung der grünen Weinblüte, aus der ein eigenes Destillat hergestellt wird, das den Gins ihre typische florale Note verleiht. Nur einmal im Jahr, in der Mitte des Monats Juni, blühen für wenige Tage die Weinpflanzen, bevor die Weintrauben entstehen. In Frankreich nennt man diese Periode „Floraison".
 
Geruch: Delikat, süß und blumig, mit einer scharfen Wärme (Andeutungen von Kardamon und Ingwer).
Geschmack: Weich, fein und rund, nach Wiese mit Blumen und Gewürzen. Der blumige Geschmack von der Weinblüte ist sehr vordergründig. Wacholder, Kardamon und Ingwer folgen. Der Abgang bringt den blumigen Geschmack zurück und ist sehr lang und trocken, klar und knackig.

Etsu is one of the top Nippon gins on the market. Etsu means ‘pleasure’ in Japanese.

This gin is made by the Asahikawa distillery in Hokkaido to an ancient Asian recipe that requires various herbs, spices and citrus fruits, some of which can only be found in Asia (berries, pepper, citrus).

What makes our very floral Etsu special is the lingering notes of orange peel and yuzu, a yellow citrus fruit very popular in Asia.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Clear, transparent.
Nose: Floral and vegetal, with pronounced citrus and yuzu notes.
Palate: Fresh and well-balanced with pepper notes and a touch of liquorice.
Finish: Rounded, supple, silky.

Destilliert wird dieser Gin von CITADELLE auf Château de Bonbonnet im Herzen der Region Cognac. Es kommen 25 hl Kupfer Pot Stills bei der Destillation zum Einsatz. Der Grundstoff ist ein Destillat aus französischem Weizen, der zuvor 3 Mal destilliert wurde. Eine Infusion von 22 Früchten und Botanicals gibt diesem Destillat danach seinen unverwechselbaren Geschmack.

Botanicals: Wacholder, Zitronen, Zitronenschalen, Melonenfleisch, Orangenschalen, Yuzuschalen, Iriswurzel, Mandeln, Fenchel, Sternanis, Kardamom, Muskatnuss, Veilchen, Koriander, Kubebenpfeffer, Kassia, Lakritz, Bohnenkraut, Sezuanpfeffer, Engelwurz, Kumin, Zimt

Bouquet: Sehr frischer und intensiver Duft von Wacholder und Zitrusfrüchten (Orangen, Yuzus und kandierte Zitronenschalen), der durch floral-würzige Noten ergänzt wird.
Gaumen: Er ist elegant, delikat und wundervoll frisch im Geschmack mit anfänglich floralen Noten, die sich im Verlauf aber zu deutlich fruchtigeren und würzigeren Aromen entwickeln. Anklänge von Melonen, Tangerinen, Muskatnuss, Sternanis und Iriswurzeln.

Fresh & Aromatic: The floral side is the expression of infusions of jasmine and elder flowers. The hesperidated notes of lemon and pink grapefruit give to the Generous Original gin a freshness that combines perfectly in a Gin & Tonic, "On the rocks" or even associated with oysters. The distillate of red pepper gives the product a very nice aromatic length that assembles spices, citrus fruits and white flowers.

NOSE: Subtle and floral. Dominant base of juniper, softened by white flowers (elderberry, jasmine).

In order to create Le Gin de Christian Drouin Guillaume Drouin has been working on finding seasoning that would best balance, complete and enhance juniper and cider apple.
After distilling separately numerous plants, in the same way as a great blend is assembled, a final selection of 8 plants was made, all of them, with the exception of juniper, belonging to the aroma
universe of premium Calvados.
Creating harmony among these 8 aromas was the next step, then adjusting the recipe and at last understanding that our work process would enable us only to create "small batches" as the one plant at a time distillation process imposes to keep adjusting proportions so as to obtain the best possible blend.
Le Gin is the only Gin incorporating 30 cider apples varieties and 8 different aromatics. Each aromatic is separately distilled before being blended in proportions that are unique to each batch.
Rose and lemon provide delicacy. Ginger, vanilla, cinnamon and almond give the Gin a smooth, spicy body while cardamom enhances its fruit and roundness in the mouth. Juniper and apple complement one another with their heavy or high notes, spicy or crisp.

Etsu Pacific Ocean Water Gin is distilled at Asahikawa Distillery in Hokkaido.
Hokkaido is the second largest of the Archipelago’s four main islands, but the second least populated. It is located north of the island of Honshu from which it is separated by the Tsugaru Strait. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the East, the Sea of Japan to the West and the Sea of Okhotsk to the north.

In the Meiji Era (1868-1912) the island took its current name : Hokkaido, which means “the way to the North Sea”.

Fresh water from the mountain source and sea water from the Sea of Japan are added to carefully selected botanicals, such as juniper berries, bitter orange peel, liquorice root, angelica and coriander to produce this unique gin, which captures the Japanese coast line in a bottle.
