Inspired by Finnish friends and the traditional dish Kalakukko (fish in rye bread with salt), a very special gin was created for the summer. The Dry Rye Merisuola brings summer, sun & sea into the glass.
Sun-drenched, aromatic Moro oranges from Sicily suggest summer and sun. The characteristic blood oranges grow at the foot of Mount Etna. They present a very special aroma and harmonise perfectly with the Amalfi lemons. The queen of lemons from the Amalfi Coast in Italy has an intense aroma with fruity sweet notes and is 2 to 3 times larger than conventional lemons. The processed citrus fruits are purchased directly from an organic farmer in Italy.
The summery aroma is rounded off with fine sea salt. The mild salt note in Merisuola also supports the aroma of the citrus fruits. The exclusive salt comes from the small island of Karlsey in the west of Iceland in the fabulous Breiðafjörður Fjord and has been extracted by the geothermal method since 1753.
