Klar wahrnehmbar sind Sternanis und natürlich Wacholder. Auch Kardamom, Koriander sowie Mondia Whitei geben ihm die Würze, während Honigbusch, Mandeln, Zimt die süßlichen Noten abrunden. Alle Zutaten begleiten das Wacholderaroma, ohne jedoch den Geschmack zu dominieren. Der Classic Knysna Gin hat einzigartige Aromen und versteht es die Würze und Süße perfekt zu balancieren.
 
Der Gin wird von Hand destilliert, in einer mit Feuer beheizten Alembic Destille mit Kupferbrennkessel. Das feine Aroma stellt die angewendete Dampfextraktion bzw. „vapour infusion“ sicher. Der Knysna Gin wird 12h destilliert bevor er seine 30 tägige Ruhezeit antritt. Das Ergebnis ist ein reiner, milder Gin.

However, the most important botanical here is a relatively unseen species of juniper, Juniper Procera (most gins use Juniper Communis), also known as African juniper as it only grows in the highlands of Kenya and Ethiopia.
