Der Bloedlemoen (Blutorange) wird in Kapstadt in einem besonderen Verfahren hergestellt der ihm den einzigartigen Charakter verleiht. Die Blutorangen aus dem Ceres Tal werden getrocknet, über Nacht eingemaischt und am folgenden Tag zusammen mit den Wacholderbeeren, den Koriandersamen und der Kassia Wurzel dem Destillations Prozess unterzogen.
 
Das Ergebnis ist ein fruchtiger, nach Zitrusfrucht duftender, weicher Gin mit einem leichten Zimtgeschmack im Abgang. Der Nachgeschmack von Blutorangen ist atemberaubend.&nbsp;

An amber variant of the Bloedlemoen Gin, this was developed some years after the launch of the original, in response to the need for a richer gin for winter.
 
Infused with a range of fynbos botanicals, including lemon buchu and nutmeg pelargonium, it is macerated post-distillation with local honeybush, which gives it a rich colour and warm, sweet caramel notes.

Bloedlemoen Amber Gin

Uniquely aromatic and fragrantly spicy. This gin is distilled with a mix of traditional botanicals and lots of pink peppercorns.

Spicy and fragrant on the nose, the pink peppercorn develops beautifully on the palate and holds up well with tonic and in cocktails.

Hobbs Pink Pepper Gin

Hope London Dry Gin is distilled the traditional way, using grain spirit as its base. The resulting soft and smooth finish is of exacting quality and can be served neat or with a mixer. This juniper-forward gin is infused with seven botanicals using a combination of maceration and vapour infusion. The flavour profile has a uniquely South African twist - lemon pelargonium adds bright lemon notes and rosemary gives it a rounded herbaceousness.

Nose: Juniper, citrus and coriander.

Palate: Classic citrus and juniper, with some rootier elements emerging.

Finish: A mellow, floral finish.

Heady with evocative Mediterranean flavours, this contemporary gin is savoury and unusual.
The most complex of the Hope Distillery gins, it is distilled from Western Cape grape spirit and infused with twelve botanicals, including olives, cardamom and fresh herbs.
Balanced and compelling, Hope Mediterranean Gin pairs well with food and adds an extra dimension to classic cocktails.

Nose: A savoury, olive nose with hints of orange peel.

Palate: Complex with layerings of olives and herbs.

Finish:Lingering savoury complexity with fresh basil.

Celebrating South Africa’s distinctive fynbos, Hope African Botanical Gin is distilled from local grain spirit and infused with eight botanicals.
These include hand-picked organic kapokbos, otherwise known as snowbush, and buchu from our unique floral kingdom.
Kapokbos is a wild sweet rosemary, which adds floral and herbaceous notes, and buchu is a small fragrant shrub that lends uniquely punchy blackcurrant notes.
This is South Africa in a glass!

Nose: Punchy fruit notes with hints of pine.

Palate: Floral with blackcurrant and juniper.

Finish: Complex finish which is subtly sweet.

Der Classic Knysna Gin aus Südafrika hat als Hauptbotanical die südafrikanische Num Num Berry, welche ein einzigartiges und unvergleichliches Geschmackserlebnis bietet. Die Num Num Berry ist eine einheimische süß schmeckende rote Frucht und eine Hommage an die Stadt Knysna. Der Classic Knysna Gin ist würzig und hat eine leichte Süße und Fruchtigkeit.&nbsp;
Klar wahrnehmbar sind Sternanis und natürlich Wacholder. Auch Kardamom, Koriander sowie Mondia Whitei geben ihm die Würze, während Honigbusch, Mandeln, Zimt die süßlichen Noten abrunden. Alle Zutaten begleiten das Wacholderaroma, ohne jedoch den Geschmack zu dominieren. Der Classic Knysna Gin hat einzigartige Aromen und versteht es die Würze und Süße perfekt zu balancieren.
 
Der Gin wird von Hand destilliert, in einer mit Feuer beheizten Alembic Destille mit Kupferbrennkessel. Das feine Aroma stellt die angewendete Dampfextraktion bzw. „vapour infusion“ sicher. Der Knysna Gin wird 12h destilliert bevor er seine 30 tägige Ruhezeit antritt. Das Ergebnis ist ein reiner, milder Gin.

Quadruple distilled from the finest white grape spirits in small batches. Extensive fractional distillation produces a smooth base of the finest quality and purity. This pure spirit is then infused with premium juniper berries and elements from 33 indigenous botanicals, sustainably hand harvested for their bark, roots, berries, flowers, stems, peels or leaves. Most of these botanicals are members of the fynbos group of plants for which the region is world famous.
These botanicals are macerated in the alcoholic base prior distillation to allow for optimal binding of the herbal aromas. Vapour-path extraction of flavours are then achieved by suspending the botanicals from the top of the kettle in a muslin bag.
A stepwise bending of pure Franschhoek granite mountain spring water results in a truly unique gin of the highest quality.

The infusion of Blue Pea gives the Gin its striking colour, while the alchemy of this unusual botanical is further revealed when the Gin is mixed with a good tonic, changing the colour to light pink. Six Dogs Blue is a classic dry Gin with hints of freshly-cut Lucerne over hand-picked and morning-harvested Rose Pelargonium. Cruxland Gin

An African craft gin from Procera, distilled in Nairobi with 10 botanicals, all sourced from across Africa, including Madagascan pink pepper and Moroccan orris root. However, the most important botanical here is a relatively unseen species of juniper, Juniper Procera (most gins use Juniper Communis), also known as African juniper as it only grows in the highlands of Kenya and Ethiopia. This different variety gives the gin a nuttier, earthier backbone. After distillation, the gin is bottled into stunning hand-blown bottles, also produced in Nairobi. A truly unique gin.
