119 Gin Edición Especial Benicàssim is a Premium distilled gin, 40% alcohol, obtained through a complete craft-process with a two-times distillation of small batches of 500 litres. We use ancient copper stills, a selected assortment of botanical ingredients and local oranges -sweet and bitter-, thus obtaining all the scents from this little Mediterranean area.

Tasting Note:
A golden-orange colour with a subtle and pleasant orange smell. It maintains its essence when tasted, joining the fruit flavour, a tasty shot and a citric explosion. Very pleasant and recognizable, adding a distinctive character to every cocktail.
Highly recommended mixed with any Premium tonic, lemon or orange soft drinks. Ginger ale is a great option too.

119 gin it is a Premium Gin, London Dry Gin, 40 degrees. It is obtained by a manual process of double distillation in traditional cooper stills, in small batches of 500 liters each.
Botanical ingredients used are juniper berries, cardamom seeds, ginger root, lemon peel, angelica root and 24 botanicals more. All they make a secret formula with a Mediterranean touch.
119 is a Gin produced by Carmelitano Distilleries, in Benicasim (Castellón, Spain). Its name is based on the years that these distilleries are open (since 1896) when this new gin has been launched.

Tasting Note:
The final product is crystalline, with fragrances and flavors of juniper, cardamom and ginger and with fresh herbaceous notes. It is silky and balsamic on the palate, with a pleasant citrus aftertaste final.

BOTANICALS
The essence of locally blooming juniper, rosemary, fennel, pine sprouts, lemongrass earth extracted and especially figs and the combination of these botanicals from the remote Priorat mountains with lemon and orange peel from the southern Mediterranean of Catalonia.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS
First, the best skins of DOQ Priorat wines are selected and distilled to preserve the essence of the flavors of these famous wines.
The freshly cut botanicals are macerated in water and schnapps. After a while, it is distilled to create a concentration of herbs that form the basis of this gin.
This base is diluted with alcohol and water and then shaken vigorously, followed by a period of rest for months. The water is used from the natural Mas Baboixos spring, which rises deep in the shale layers, the typical soil of the Priorat countries.

Every ingredient and part of the process is 100% natural.
