The ancestor of the gin is the genver, also called "Pékèt" when it is manufactured in Wallonia.
The “Raerener Töpfergeist” is produced in organic wheat alcohol by maceration and distillation of juniper berries (Juniperus Communis). The name refers to the history of Raerener Töpferkunst and thus to the largest and best -known pottery center north of the Alps between the 14th and 16th centuries. It is the oldest product of the distillery, its origin goes back to 1836!

Consumption: The Raerener Töpfergeist can be served as an aperitif or digestif in an ice -cold glass or at room temperature and fits very well with hard cheese and fine sausage and meat products.
