Nineteen years I have waited. Nineteen years I have been mocked. My trade is an honourable one. I forge the blades that decide the war. I shape the hoofs that can outrun the enemy. I create something out of nothing. And yet, I couldn’t get the fire under control. I burned the roof from over my head and had been the laughingstock of the town ever since. Until one day I got over my fear. I worked for hours and never stopped, not to eat, nor to drink. I felt that I was creating something. Something powerful yet beautiful and dangerous. I had to finish even though I wasn’t sure what the result was going to be. When D. was ready no one dared ever to laugh at me again. They now look at me with awe and respect. D. put the honour back in my trade.

The Blacksmith is a Barrel Aged Gin matured in French oak barrels. The medium roasted barrels give this Gin a slightly smoky touch.

This drink is distilled in a classic copper pot to ensure optimal authenticity and flavor. This Gin owes its golden appearance and round, refined taste to a maturing process of six months.

The flavor – violet – has long been in the taste. But the eye also wants something. Stefan Everts had been toying with the idea of a new, striking bottle for some time. The ball really started rolling when he sat down with designer Troy Lee. The ten-time world champion, who had already worked with the designer in his career as a motocross racer, asked the American to design a new bottle.
