GEIST Moro Blood Orange
The spirit of the Sicilian blood orange Moro was our first distillate, from which the idea for the fruity Satoshi Gin was born. In our opinion, the Moro variety is the calibration office for the best citrus aroma. Sweet, slightly bitter, fine acidity and vastly superior in complexity to a conventional orange due to its characteristic aroma. Every single blood orange is hand-selected, checked for unwelcome dents and peeled by hand. The intense aroma and the distillate smelling of freshly peeled blood oranges is due to the gentle maceration and distillation of the zests. Our orange grower only said to this spirit: "Lo non posso bere sempre limoncello dolce con zucchero!" (You can't always drink sweet limoncello).
What the nose tells us:
The smell of fresh orange zest escapes from the bottle. Slightly ethereal, reminiscent of sweet desserts, peach notes, strong citrus notes, clear citrus aroma, light notes of freshly squeezed blood orange juice, discreetly perceptible raspberry aroma.
What the palate perceives:
A soft and almost sweet start to the orange palette, mild and fresh on the tongue, closely followed by an exploding orange note. Bitter notes spread, oily and velvety on the palate, very mild sharpness in the long orange finish.
