The distillation is carried out in small batches. A raw distillate made from our own grain and multi-distilled forms the basis for the careful maceration of the 34 hand-picked herbs, spices and fruits. The additional use of a steam infusion of freshly harvested herbs adds unique fresh floral notes to the gin. The end product is rounded off with an infusion of slate-Riesling. After a rest period of 4 weeks in stoneware, Ferdinand’s Saar Dry Gin cask strength as one of the strongest representatives of the Navy Strength category is adjusted to an alcohol content of 66.6% with demineralized water, filled to our nostalgic wine bottle and naturally corked.
