The latest addition to the Feiner Kappler family is the company's own gin. Produced according to the criteria of London Dry Gin, it gets its individual flavour from the selection of 13 finely balanced botanicals.
During a long period of experimentation, various botanicals were combined, tasted, approved or rejected. Always in accordance with the guidelines of London Dry Gin, but free in their interpretation. Coriander and angelica are a must, while hibiscus, lavender and elderflower add a floral note. The aromatic freshness of the fruit and leaf of the Thai kaffir lime proves its worth as a counterpoint. This freshness wanted to be integrated, as the creation couple have a connection to these botanicals from past trips to Asia.
The root of the common chicory, plant of the month for August 2015, was surprisingly discovered as a very interesting addition to the distillate during the recipe development process. Finally, as the 13th botanical, it completes the flavour circle perfectly.
