Although Nakal Gin is distilled and bottled in Switzerland, it hardly looks Swiss at all. That’s because its entire focus is on “exoticism” and “Southeast Asia.” The reason lies in its botanicals: pandan leaves (with their vanilla- to nutty-like aroma, traditionally used fresh in Southeast Asian cuisine), calamondin orange (also known as calamansi), and cassia (whose bark is often used by gin producers as a fragrant cinnamon alternative). Gentleman’s Gin is crafted with the utmost care at the Basel distillery Aktienmühle, following an original recipe from the 1920s and distilled on a Holstein pot still. The base of this cold-filtered London Dry Gin is the finest Swiss neutral spirit. Seven different botanicals are macerated and distilled to create a complex yet elegant gin that is also enjoyable neat. In 2020 it was awarded two international gold medals. Each bottle is sealed by hand with beeswax.

succulents from the desert as our thematic botanicals for this singular barrel-aged gin.&nbsp;
Our spectrum of aromatic elements contains: 1. fresh juniper 
berries; 2. agave flowers; 3. tuna cactus flowers; and 4. pitaya cactus 
flowers. These four fractionally distilled elements are then suffused together 
with unfermented agave stem juice, the Fifth Element, and aged for 5 years 
in virgin Castanea Sativa barrels, adding the Sixth Element to our Opus 
Magnum. Gorgeous on the palate, full-bodied, with a layered, elegant mouthfeel.

"GIN" AS IN "CULINARY DIALECTICS"
Whatever gin distillers may argue, juniperhas an apothecarial, medicinal whiff to it, which is not necessarily a good thing. Centuries before it became a convivial spirit, distilled juniper was peddled as an antiviral panacea for good health in Europe and the Middle East. However, juniper has also been proactively sought out for centuries as a flavoring for dishes, from Scandinavia to the Alps. The culinary purpose is to temper something too overtly sweetish with a hint of astringency from the juniper to arrive at an ideal middle ground by creating a novel syncretic flavor from the extremes.
Dialectical dishes like sweet &amp; sour pork, or chicken-chocolate mole, or cranberries-with-juniper venison sauces, exemplify such integrated culinary contrasts, as does the simplistic and mundane suggestion that dry gin should be mixed before consumption with sugary tonic water for a similar effect.
This dialectic inspired us in drafting our formula and, with unfeigned modesty, we would assert that The.Juniper.Tree by Porfidio is indeed a formidable example of the new dialectical gin standard! So instead of reducing the juniper content to a bare minimum like many contemporary dry gins, we deliberately boosted the aroma with fresh, fermented juniper and then subtly harmonized it with another five components to develop the ultimate gin experience, where the juniper fulfils the quintessential role of a fulcrum to lever the other elements.
PRODUCT FEATURES
Our agave gin formula was probably the most gamesome thing we ever did in our company's history, so fun is a key ingredient! But there is more to it. While drawing on our Mexican roots in agave spirits making, after a decade of experimenting with wide palate of available plant material and processing techniques, we retreated to the desert and made cacti and succulents our chosen thematic botanicals.
Our chosen spectrum of aromatic elements is:
●	Firstly, and essentially: fermented and distilled fresh juniper berries (as opposed to an infusion of dried juniper, the common standard for gin)
●	Then we add the other corners in creative dissonance to the juniper: 1. Agave flowers, 2. Tuna cactus flowers, 3. Pitaya cactus flowers. Each of these is macerated in agave spirits and redistilled.
●	These four fractionally distilled elements are then suffused together with unfermented agave stem juice (previously fortified with agave spirits), the Fifth Element, and thenaged for 5 years in virgin Castanea Saliva barrels, adding the Sixth Element, the undertones extracted over time from the toasted chestnut wood cask staves
BEST-CONSUMED-AS
Please note that ours is no London-style Dry Gin, to be consumed with Indian tonic water to ward off malaria, its historic purpose! In fact, our gin makes a truly horrible mix with tonic. However, it is our earnest prescription for outstanding Negronis, Old-Fashioneds, and Martinezes, the new fashions in gin mixology. Or drink it on the rocks like any great cask-aged spirit, which is the way most of our fans (and we ourselves) like it!

The bell chime "C" is a gin related to our hometown of Apolda. The name refers to St. Peter's Bell in Cologne Cathedral. This was cast in Apolda and has the strike tone "C" as its nominal tone. The label was designed and drawn by an artist from Apolda. The strike tone is a gin that is distilled with a variety of flowers in addition to the juniper.&nbsp;

The taste profile of Yu gin black lemon is rich &amp; spicy but still with the iconic freshness of the yuzu. The recipe is a distilled maceration of juniper, black lemon, yuzu, lemon, ginger, cardamom, coriander and caraway.

Let's never forget: sometimes a drink is better than sex 

By far the majority of our products are distilled directly in Austria using Austrian ingredients. However, the distillation machine we use takes the ancient principle of distillation to a new level. Not only was the processing and the raw materials used the highest quality, but the approach to the physical principle was also rethought. In the low-temperature process used, the botanicals are gently distilled at 38° degrees. The unique vacuum process allows us to distill the aromas more intensely and completely from the herbs and ingredients far below the usual 83° degrees. This gives the distillates a higher intensity and a special character that cannot be achieved with a conventional distillation process. 

Tastes herbaceous and subtly spicy, a gin that impresses with its sophisticated aroma pairing. It is an ideal base for numerous modern long drinks and cocktails - not only when garnished with a slice of cucumber. 40% vol.

MISTAKE GIN combines the full fruit of ripe oranges, both in the nose and in the taste. Traditional botanicals include juniper, but also fresh orange peel, coriander seeds, angelica root, and our locally grown aronia berries.
What makes MISTAKE GIN special is the addition of orange blossoms, which give it its intense fruity note.
We only use freshly peeled citrus fruits.

Mistake Gin

We don't distill our Cascara Gin ourselves, but rather produce it using a maceration process based on Mediterranean juniper.
For this, the juniper is first soaked in 96.5% pure grape spirit. Then a variety of botanicals are added.
Iranian rosebuds, cardamom, fresh orange zest, and a few more.
After creating the base, we blend our cascara with the coffee cherries of the Gesha coffee from Colombia, which naturally takes center stage.
Cascara Gin has an intense, fruity flavor. It's perfect enjoyed neat. Prepare to be surprised by a flavor explosion.
It also works very well with tonic water, creating a soft, floral product with a delicate effervescence. We recommend and prefer to enjoy it with a botanical tonic.
For a gin and tonic, we add a sprig of rosemary or thyme. If you like, you can also add a single coffee bean.

Unsere „Botanicals“ sind: Wacholderbeeren (alkoholische Mazeration und Destillation), Wacholderzweige (Hydrolat), Rosmarin (Evaporation und Destillation), Buddhas Hand, eine Zitronat-Zitrone wie der Cedro. (Evaporisation), Damaszener Rose (Evaporisation und Destillation), Weißer Pfirsich (alkoholische Mazeration und Destillation), Gardenien Extrakt, eine Hibiskus Blüte. (Mazeration). Die Botanicals werden einzeln mit Kornbrand (aus Bioweizen) oder Wasser angesetzt und zwar z.T. mittels Digestion, z.T. mittels kalter Mazeration und z.T. mittels Evaporation. Nur die färbenden Botanicals werden anschließend gesondert destilliert und mit den restlichen Aromaauszügen geblendet. Dem „gin shot oder straigth“ Trinker steigt Erstes der Duft von Wacholderbeere in die Nase, gefolgt von Rosmarin und einem Hauch von Zitronat. Die Rosen dämpfen etwas das Wacholderaroma und der weiße Pfirsich macht den Gin trotz seinem hohen Alkoholgehalt weich und samtig. Als klassischer „Gin-Tonic“ genossen verwandelt sich der doch recht starke „Kranebitter“ in eine erfrischende Limonade und wird zu einem äußerst gefährlichen „Säftchen“… 
Wir empfehlen als Zusatz maximal einen frischen Rosmarinzweig und eine Limettenscheibe. 
 
Im Martini Cocktail, der Königsdisziplin des Gins, erschließen sich auf einmal alle Aromen, die sich vorher versteckt hatten. Wachholder und Rosmarin dominieren klar, die Damaszener Rose scheint durch zu schimmern, und das sanfte Zedernaroma von Buddhas Hand erinnert an Mittelmeer. Mit dem zartblauen Ton aus der Gardenie grüßen die Gletscher Tirols…
